A good number of Sims 4 players have complained about a connection error, which typically comes up while trying to access the game's community gallery. When this happens, the game reads you offline (despite being online), and when you try to go online (as recommended), it takes forever to load.

I can also access Origin in game, but not the gallery. I have tried turning off my firewall, making exceptions, etc and nothing has worked. I have deleted the demo from my games in Origin.I have also tried to uninstall both Origin and The Sims 4, but neither worked. Minecraft pe java. I at one point was able to connect online and use the gallery. Playing the game in windowed mode may help with the loading of the gallery. Also moving your tray folder to your desktop when going to the gallery then placing it back afterwards may help. Your creations though will not be in your library when your tray folder is not in your sims 4 folder.

This error is quite notorious, and there are indications that it's being caused by some irregularities on the game's servers. Nevertheless, you can try the following fixes from your end.

Note: Ensure Origin is online before running any if the fixes herein.

Fix 1: Disable AV firewall

An antivirus/firewall creates some kind of interference, and disrupts your connectivity, in which case, you're bound to encounter this error.

To fix this, you can try and add Sims 4 (and Origin) to the list of exempted apps/programs or simply disable the firewall. Then, relaunch the game and try accessing the gallery.

If the problem persists, try the next fix.

Fix 2: Reset router

If and when you're unable to connect to the community gallery (on Sims 4), you can try restarting your router (if you're using one) and see if it fixes the error.

Fix 3: Run game as an Admin

This looks crude, but it could fix the error. Running the game as an Administrator gives you some privileges, which, hitherto, is missing. And this could help you bypass the issue(s) causing the error.

To run the game as an Admin, simply right-click on it (from the desktop window) and select 'Run as Administrator'.

If this could not fix the error, try the next.

Fix 4: Flush DNS cache

This action would clear all old IP records from your server, and provide you with a clean slate.

To flush DNS (on Win10), do the following;

• Click Win + X to open 'Command Prompt'
• Open the Command Prompt as an Admin.
• Enter the following commands:
• 'ipconfig/flushdns' + Enter;
• 'ipconfig/registerdns' + Enter;
• 'ipconfig/release' + Enter;
• 'ipconfig/renew + Enter; and
• 'netsh winsock reset' + Enter.
• Restart computer and launch game.

1. Create a new folder on your (external) HDD (hard disk drive) and give it a name like My Sims Games.
2. Place this new folder under the exceptions of your anti-virus program.
3. Copy (not move) the folder The Sims 4 from C:Program Files (x64)Origin Games to this new folder My Sims Games and make a new shortcut from:
   64-bits Windows: My Sims GamesThe Sims 4GameBin TS4_x64.exe
   32-bits Windows: My Sims GamesThe Sims 4GameBin_LETS4.exe
4. Add new cracked DLC's to that new location (Delete the folder Game and then copy/paste the files and folders from the download to My Sims GamesThe Sims 4)

Now you can play both the Origin based version (with access to the Gallery) and the cracked version,

B. You already have a cracked version and want to install the Origin version as well.

1. Simply Install the Sims 4 via your Origin-account.
2. Origin will create a new shortcut for your desktop

Now you can play both versions.

As both versions use the same data directory for the progress of your game c:Useryour usernameDocumentsElectronic ArtsThe Sims 4, Gallery-items will be available for both versions
